This year, the annual event is taking part in December 2026, a way for us to round off the year with a celebration of all things British and Irish YA – and reflect on the National Year of Reading here in the UK.
This year, our focus is looking at initiatives to get teens reading – what’s gone well and what we should think about for the future. We are also featuring author recommendations of fabulous books for teens and YA written by the UKYA community!
If you are an author of books for teens/YA (or NA/crossover suitable for 14+) and you are a British or Irish citizen or resident, we would love to hear your thoughts! You don’t need to have released a book this year – you could be releasing a title last year or five years ago!
